The State High Court has arraigned three native doctors in Anambra State on charges of aiding criminals and participating in money rituals.
Onyebuchi Okocha, also known as Onyeze Jesus, Chidozie Nwangwu, more commonly known as Akwa Okuko, and Ekene Igboekweze, also known as Eke Hit, were among the suspects who were brought before a judge.
The Honourable Justice Jude Obiorah presided over their arraignment in a court. After that, the native doctors were docked separately, and their charges were read to them in a packed courtroom.
The preparation of money rituals and protective charms for criminals were the primary charges. However, Justice Onuorah put the matter off until April 11, 2025. Remigus Okoli, one of the three defendants' attorneys, told reporters after the court session that the state government came with a plan to keep the defendants in custody. He maintained that the accused did not have sufficient time to prepare for their defense. In the meantime, attempts to speak with F C Okeke's counsels for the state government were unsuccessful.
