After the United States publicly revealed intelligence tracing international funds directly supporting Boko Haram operations, expectations were high that Nigeria’s leaders would act fast. But weeks later, the silence is deafening.

“We already know who is behind it. We know where the funds are going. So why hasn’t anything changed?” said a resident in Borno State, where the militant group has operated for over a decade.
The Nigerian government has yet to name, confront, or prosecute any of the key individuals allegedly involved. And for many citizens, it feels like a game being played at the cost of human lives.

“If the government can’t stop them, at least let them stop pretending they don’t know what’s happening,” another voice shared from Jos.
The calls are growing louder. People are not only demanding peace they’re demanding honesty. Until Nigeria faces the truth about Boko Haram’s funding, many believe peace will remain out of reach.
