Veteran juju musician, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, celebrated his 83rd birthday

 

in style during the week, surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers.  The event, which held in Lagos, was a vibrant showcase of love and appreciation for the music legend.

 The welcome banner and cake were decorated in blue, which was the day's color. At the entrance, a display of the veteran's photos and messages of kindness welcomed guests. The presence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his wife Bola was one of the celebration's highlights. The moment Obasanjo spotted Obey, he joyfully lifted him from his seat and coaxed him into a dance.  During his speech, Obasanjo expressed his admiration for the musician and wished him well

 Wasiu Ayinde, better known by his stage name K1 de Ultimate, a fuji musician, joined in the fun to show his support. K1 greeted the guests as he entered the venue and bowed before Obey. After greeting each other, they had a brief conversation. K1 prayed for Obey's continued success and health as he sent a message of congratulations to the audience at the event. The Ade Ori Okin singer later took the stage to delight everyone present, serenading the birthday boy and entertaining guests in his usual manner. Throughout the event, Obey wore a radiant smile, clearly touched by the outpouring of love and admiration from those around him.
